Engineering Education, BS

General Information

The Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Education requires the following:

A minimum of 128 hours must be completed with a cumulative CU GPA of 2.0.
A minimum overall 2.0 GPA must be maintained on all Engineering Core Courses.
A maximum of 3 hours of Independent Study may count toward the degree.
The last 30 hours of the degree must be completed while registered in the College of Engineering and Applied Science at UCCS.
Work experience, and credit from Military Science and ROTC courses, will not apply toward a degree from the College of Engineering.

Required Courses

Core Courses (9 credit hours)

Complete all of the following courses:

Introductory Course (3 credit hours)

Complete one Introductory Course elective from the following:

Engineering Foundations Courses (6 credit hours)

Complete 6 hours of Engineering Foundations Course electives from the following:

Engineering Capstone (4-6 credit hours)

Complete a minimum of 4 hours of ENGR courses from one of the following options. Students must have a junior level status in order to take the Capstone.

Option 1: Computer Science
ENGR 3300 - Software Engineering I
and
ENGR 4010 - Computer Science Education Seminar
Option 2: Mechanical Engineering
ENGR 4510 - Engineering Design I
and
ENGR 4511 - Engineering Design II
and
MAE 4000 - Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Seminar (optional)
Option 3: Electrical Engineering
ENGR 4890 - Senior Seminar
and
ENGR 4899 - Senior Design Project

Mathematics (21 Credit Hours)

Complete all of the following courses.

Note: Math courses require a grade of “C” or better to progress through the Math sequence.

Basic Science (23-24 credit hours)

Complete all of the following courses:
