Visual and Performing Arts Minor

In addition to the standing minors in the specializations of Art History, Dance, Film Studies, Museum and Gallery Practice, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts, the department offers a cross-disciplinary minor which provides a strong basis in the collaborative aspects of the seven areas comprising Visual and Performing Arts.

Requirements
The Minor in Visual and Performing Arts requires 18 hours of course work, 9 of which must be upper division courses.
All students must complete the following courses for a total of 18 credit hours: One VAPA Foundation Course
Two VAPA Theory & Practice Courses
Students choose any two courses from the following. VAPA Capstone Course (in Disciplinary Area)
VAPA Specialization Areas
One to two courses from two different VAPA specialization areas: Art History, Dance, Film, Museum Studies & Gallery Practice, Music, Theatre, Visual Arts (three to six credit hours). At least one of these courses must be upper division. |
