A comprehensive introduction to the instrumentation, techniques and biological applications of flow cytometry, high speed single cell analysis, and cell sorting. Topics to be studied include light sources, fluidics, fluorescent dyes, data collection and analysis, and applications in biological research and clinical medicine.Prerequisites: Upper division biology major.
