AH 2890 - Survey: Eighteenth-Century Art3 Credits (Minimum) 3 Credits (Maximum)
Survey of eighteenth-century European painting, sculpture, and architecture. Students explore the careers of painters including Antoine Watteau, William Hogarth, and Elisabeth Louise Vigee Le Brun as well as topics including Rococo and Neoclassical aesthetics, the Enlightenment, the Grand Tour, race, gender, and the art of revolutions. Approved for LAS Humanities area requirement. GT-AH1. Prer., One AH 1000 level course or instructor permission.
