AH 2820 - Survey: Renaissance

Survey of the arts of Europe, c. 1400-1600, covering the Early Renaissance through Mannerist stylistic periods. Students study artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Sofonisba Anguissola. This course will also look beyond the confines of Europe to consider global connections, appropriations, and artistic influence during the “age of exploration.” Approved for LAS Humanities area requirement. GT-AH1. Prer., One AH 1000 level course or instructor permission.
