The goal of this course is to 1) Increase the identification of gifted learners from poverty and culturally diverse backgrounds. 2) Increase teachers awareness of cultural and social nuances of giftedness in poverty and culturally diverse groups. 3) Equip teachers with the tools to create, modify and deliver gifted programs and services to this group of gifted students. 4) Engage and retain students with these characteristics in gifted programs.
