CJ 5956 - Analytical Intelligence Methodologies3 Credits (Minimum) 3 Credits (Maximum)
Capstone course of the security intelligence certificate curriculum. Examines analytic intelligence techniques and methodologies. Provides students increased analytic capacity and fosters critical thinking. Reviews epistemology; inductive, deductive, and abductive reasoning; multivariate analysis; cognitive bias; alternative competing hypotheses; and denial and deception. Includes a complex analytic team project on contemporary intelligence issues. All prerequisites for this course must be completed with a grade of B- or better. Prereq: PAD 5953 or CJ 5953, plus one of the following courses: PAD 5954, CJ 5954, PAD 5955, CJ 5955. Graduate and graduate nondegree students only. Meets with PAD 5956.
