|
About the Program
The Infant and Early Childhood Behavioral Health Certificate is designed for students preparing to work with children birth through age six by strengthening their ability to respond to social-emotional and behavioral needs within early learning environments. The certificate is built upon the well-established EMBED model, which places trained practitioners directly into classrooms to provide real-time, trauma-informed coaching and relationship-based support.
Program Requirements
This certificate is currently available to enrolled Inclusive Early Childhood Education (IECE) majors. It requires 30 total credit hours; for IECE majors, 21 of these credits are satisfied through existing degree requirements, leaving three additional COUN courses (9 credits) to complete the certificate.
