Electrical Engineering Minor

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department offers a minor in Electrical Engineering. The minor provides students with the ability to formally supplement their study in other fields with a rigorous electrical engineering background that will enhance employment opportunities after graduation.
General Requirements
The minor in Electrical Engineering requires the following:
- 23-25 credit hours, depending on specialty area.
- A minimum 2.0 GPA, with a grade of C or better in all courses applied to the minor.
- A maximum of 9 credit hours of transfer work may be applied to the minor.
- Residency: the last 14 credit hours of the minor must be completed while registered at UCCS.
Note: The Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering minors are designed for students enrolled in degree programs outside of the ECE department. Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering may not declare either minor.

Course Requirements
Complete all Core Courses (10 credit hours) and all courses in one Specialty Area (13-15 credit hours) for a total of 23-25 credit hours. Required Core Courses (10 Credit Hours)
