Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate (Adult/Gerontology, Family, and Psychiatric Mental Health)
Return to: Programs
The College offers the option of advanced study for a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner leading to a Post Masters Certificate. The post-graduate certificate program builds upon and expands the knowledge, values, and skills of the Master’s prepared nurse. In addition to specialty courses, the Post Masters Certificate nurse will expand their primary care clinical roles in adult/gerontology, family, or psychiatric mental health. Dependent on the student’s nursing Master’s degree, the degree plan may include Advanced Pathophysiology, Advanced Health Assessment, and Clinical Pharmacotherapeutics.
All admitted Post Master’s Certificate Students will have an evaluation of previous education called a GAP analysis to determine necessary course work for the certificate. Our Certificate programs are all Federal Gainful Employment certified, making them eligible for financial aid.
