A vital language that will enhance a major or a career, German is closely related to English, and is the tongue of America’s fourth largest trade partner, of scientific research, and EU diplomacy. it is the language of music’s “3B’s” (Bach, Beethoven and Brahms) among others, and that of writers such as Kant, Lessing, Goethe, Marx, Nietzsche, Freud, Schnitzler, Böll, Bachmann, and Jelinek. German is spoken in Germany, Austria, South Tyrol, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Luxembourg.
General Requirements
- 18 credit hours must be completed, 9 of which must be upper-division.
- All courses must be completed with a grade of C- or better.
- A minimum 2.0 GPA must be maintained in all course work taken towards the minor.
