Visual and Performing Arts Minor

In addition to the standing minors in the specializations of Art History, Dance, Film Studies, Museum and Gallery Practice, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts, the department offers a cross-disciplinary minor which provides a strong basis in the collaborative aspects of the seven areas comprising Visual and Performing Arts.

General Requirements

  • 18 credit hours of course work, 9 of which must be upper-division (3000+ level).
  • All courses must be completed with a grade of C or better.

Course Requirements

VAPA Core Courses (9 credit hours)

Complete one of the following 1000-level VAPA Core courses:

VAPA 1000-Level Core Courses

 

Complete one of the following 3000-level VAPA Core courses:

VAPA 3000-level Core Courses

 

Capstone Course (3 credits)

Complete one of the following Capstone courses.

VAPA Electives (6 credit hours)

Complete one course each from two different VAPA areas. At least one course must be upper-division (3000+ level).
