General Information
The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree requires the following:
- A minimum of 47 graduate-level credit hours.
- A minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA must be maintained on all courses taken for the degree.
- A grade of “B” or higher in all core and NP option courses taken for the degree.
- Completion of degree requirements within six years, with most students completing in 3 years full-time or 4 years part-time.

MSN Core Courses (22-23 credit hours)
Complete all of the MSN Core courses listed below. A minimum of 5 credit hours of NURS 7000, Research Thesis, must be completed if that research option is chosen.
Nurse Practitioner Specialization Tracks (25-26 credit hours)
Complete one of the following Nurse Practitioner Specialty Tracks listed below.
- NOTE: NURS 6982 is not required of all students. Contact your program advisor for more information.
Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner
Family Nurse Practitioner
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
