The College of Engineering and Applied Science offers a Certificate in Software Engineering to qualified students. The program has two purposes: (1) to provide employees of local companies with an opportunity to enhance their software engineering skills and their chances for career advancement, and (2) to provide students currently enrolled in the Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS) with more in-depth knowledge in software engineering to enhance employ ability and career advancement. Knowledge of a modern programming language, e.g., Pascal, Java, or C++
One other Graduate level CS course numbered 5000 or above
Some of these courses may have prerequisites, and any comparable course from another approved University will suffice. Also note that students must earn grades of B or better in all courses to be counted toward the certificate.
