CHEM 5810 - Graduate Biochemistry I

Lecture. Topics include water as a biological solvent, amino acids, structure, conformation, properties, and functions of proteins, enzymes, mechanisms and kinetics, carbohydrates, lipids, and energetics. Students will read primary literature articles and prepare oral presentations or written projects. Prer., BIOL 3020 and CHEM 3320. Meets with BIOL 5810.
