WEST 2090 - Foundations of African American Studies3 Credits (Minimum) 3 Credits (Maximum)
This course introduces students to the foundational themes and intellectual traditions of African American Studies. Topics include identity formation, resistance movements, systemic oppression, and Black activism. Students will engage with historical and contemporary scholarship, connecting theory to practice Approved for Compass Curriculum: Explore-Society, Health and Behavior; Inclusiveness-Diversity & Power Dynamics (Local).
