MATH 5390 - Numerical Linear Algebra3 Credits (Minimum) 3 Credits (Maximum)
Foundational concepts and algorithms of linear algebra and their application. Topics include: least squares, LU and QR matrix factorizations, eigenvalues and eigenfunctions, singular value decomposition, fast Fourier transform, and special matrices. Prer., MATH 3130 and MATH 2650 or adequate experience with computer programming. Meets with MATH 4390.
