SOC 4580 - Sociology of Disasters

Vulnerability to “natural” disasters is directly linked to social constructions, social inequalities, and economic, political, and cultural power structures. This course examines the ways in which disasters expose, challenge, or reinforce these dimensions. Approved for LAS Global Awareness area requirement.
