WEST 3100 - Women of Color: Image and Voice

Examines how the intersections of race, ethnicity, and gender are constructed both within and against traditional U.S. feminism and gender critiques. Addresses areas of divergence from mainstream feminism, as well as the construction of alternative representations by women of color. Approved for Compass Curriculum: Explore-Arts, Humanities, and Cultures; Inclusiveness-Intercultural Communication (Local). Approved for LAS Humanities area requirement.
