SOC 3400 - Criminology3 Credits (Minimum) 3 Credits (Maximum)
A critical introduction to the study of crime in the U.S. Includes the measurement of crime, nature and development of law, theories of causation, delinquency, and issues of differential treatment and disparities in the courts, corrections and by law enforcement. Approach is multidisciplinary. Approved for Compass Curriculum: Inclusiveness-Diversity & Power Dynamics (Local). Meets with WEST 3470.
