SOC 2110 - Sex, Society & You: A Sociology of Human Sexuality

This course examines the topics of sex and sexuality using social constructionist, symbolic interactionist, and social conflict frameworks as well as explores varying historical and cultural constructions of sexuality, the relationship between sexual attitudes and behaviors, and larger social forces and institutions. We also examine how sex and sexuality intersect with identities such as gender, race, age, and disability as well as historically located political issues and debates.
