ENGL 1410 - Rhetoric and Writing II: Argument and Research

3 Credits (Minimum) 3 Credits (Maximum)

Emphasizes argument and research supported through extended inquiry. Students use classical stasis theory to invent arguments as appropriate to audience and situation. Students map complex issues, summarize and negotiate counterclaims, and strategically cast their arguments in stasis deemed effective for their situation. ENGL 1410 is an option for the second core writing course across the university. GT-CO2. Prer., ENGL 1305, 1308, or 1310. Course typically offered: Fall, Spring, Summer
