BIOL 3930 - Medical Ethnobotany

Introduction to the multidisciplinary study of medicinal plants. This course integrates concepts from ethnobotany, biochemistry, pharmacology, and conservation to explain the botanical and chemical basis of plant medicines, explore use of plant medicines by different peoples of the world, and define issues involved in contemporary adoptions of plant-based medicines. Prer., BIOL 1300 or instructor permission.
