BUAN 6200 - Applied Predictive Analytics for Strategic Insights

In today’s data-driven business landscape, predictive analytics is crucial for strategic decision-making. This course is designed to equip MBA students with the knowledge and skills to leverage predictive analytics for making strategic decisions in the business world. Students will learn how to use Python and Excel to analyze data, build predictive models, and derive actionable insights from data-driven predictions. The course covers topics including data types, sources, and quality assessment, as well as data preparation and exploratory data analysis. Students learn about classification, clustering, and regression analysis. Dimensionality reduction techniques are explored to simplify complex data. Additionally, students gain the ability to extract insights from unstructured text data. Ethical considerations, addressing accuracy, fairness, and privacy, are emphasized.
