Provides a seamless transition from BSW to MSW-level studies by delving into the intricacies of social welfare history, the social welfare system, public policy, political and social contexts, and policy practice skills. Emphasizing diversity, power dynamics, racism, oppression, and privilege, the course adopts ADEI (anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion) lens that highlights the dismantling of systemic barriers and the promotion of inclusivity in social welfare practice. Prer., Admission to the MSW program advanced standing program. Graduate Social Work students only.
