PADM 5625 - Local Government Policy and Administration

This course examines city and county governance from the perspective of public policy making, implementation, and evaluation. The course explores local government and intergovernmental political structures, policy analysis and formulation, political forces in policy implementation and evaluation, and the relationships between professional administrators and elected officials. In doing so, it examines a range of substantive policy and administrative issues facing local communities and governments. Prer., Graduate and nondegree graduate students only.
