SPED 3001 - Introduction to Special Education3 Credits (Minimum) 3 Credits (Maximum)
This course provides an overview of Special Education. The course emphasizes the history of special education; legislation; implementation of IDEA, current issues; and a survey of exceptionalities. This course is designed to support the Performance-based Standards for Colorado teachers. Thirty (30) hours of field experience required. Prer., Background check, fingerprinting.
