MGMT 6490 - Legal Issues in Managing Human Resources

3 Credits (Minimum) 3 Credits (Maximum)

Examines the legal, social, and ethical issues confronting human resource managers, though the course is appropriate for all majors. Emphasis is on equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, and safety and health. Other topics: sexual harassment, drug testing programs, employing the disabled, employee privacy rights, wrongful termination, and honesty testing. Explains how organizations can manage employees legally and ethically, while still maintaining a productive work force. Distance MBA course. Tuition differs from on-campus courses.
