A comprehensive study of medical nutrition therapy recommendations for prevention and treatment of disease and promotion of health. Includes nutrigenomics, enteral and parenteral nutrition support, cancer, HIV/AIDS, liver, renal, and pulmonary diseases, metabolic stress, food allergies and intolerances, and metabolic disorders. Approved for Compass Curriculum requirement: Writing Intensive. Prer., HSCI 4930 with grade of C or higher; coreq. or prer., HSCI 4440. Health Sciences majors or Nutrition minors or Sports Health and Wellness minors only.
