ECE 5120 - Antenna Engineering3 Credits (Minimum) 3 Credits (Maximum)
A continuation of ECE 5110 at an intermediate level. Includes a polynomial development of linear antenna array patterns and synthesis, radiation from horn and reflector aperture antennas, transform theory of aperture field patterns including optical sources, wave modes in spherical coordinates, the antenna boundary-value problem. Green’s functions, ray theory in electromagnetics. Prer., ECE 4110/5110 or equivalent. Meets with ECE 4120.
