Describes semaphores, processes, virtual mappings, interrupts, resource allocation and management, protection, synchronization, scheduling, queuing and communication as applied to operating system design and implementation. Prer., CS 2060, CS 2080, and CS 4200/5200. Meets with CS 4500.
