Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education Endorsement

The Culturally & Linguistically Diverse (CLD) Education endorsement prepares pre-service and in-service teachers to work with students who are learning English as a second or additional language. This program is designed especially for teachers, paraprofessionals, and pre-service teachers who have English Language Learners (ELLs) in their classrooms.

Courses emphasize methods, assessment, and parent/community relationships. No second language is required. Courses are offered online and on-campus, and meet Colorado Department of Education (CDE) endorsement requirements. Upon completion of the endorsement credits, students are required to pass the approved PLACE exam prior to earning the endorsement.
