Undergraduate Certificate in Homeland Security

This certificate is designed to provide students with foundational knowledge in the areas of homeland security and homeland defense. Students will be exposed to contemporary issues in homeland security and homeland defense. Additionally, they will learn about careers in the field, including: first responders, analysts, information security specialists and consultants in the public and private sectors.
Policies and Procedures
Students wanting to pursue the certificate must submit a certificate application to spa@uccs.edu.

General Requirements
The certificate consists of three courses totaling nine credit hours of undergraduate coursework. A grade of C or better is required in each course counting toward the certificate.
