Pre-Occupational Therapy

IMPORTANT: UCCS does not have an occupational therapy program. Pre-Occupational Therapy Prep is not a major or minor but a listing of requisite courses and recommendations needed to be eligible for admission into CSU’s College of Health and Human Services in Ft. Collins, CO. Other schools may have different requirements, so students should check admissions requirements for all schools to which they plan on applying.

Pre-professional options offered at UCCS prepare students for candidacy into professional programs offered at other facilities. Completion of requisite coursework does not guarantee acceptance into any professional program. Course requirements are for the
OT program offered by Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Other schools may have slightly different requirements. Students should contact each school of interest for appropriate pre-requisite coursework.

Application for the CSU Professional Master’s of Occupational Therapy Program is available through the Occupational Therapist Centralized Application Service (OTCAS, https://otcas.liaisoncas.com/applicant-ux/#/login) application service. Two applications are required: OTCAS and CSU Graduate School application. The OTCAS application is open beginning in July with complete application, including supplemental materials due in January; applicants are encouraged to view the OTCAS website for specific dates. Each applicant must complete the Graduate Record Exams (GRE).

NOTE: Completion of requisite coursework does not guarantee acceptance into any professional degree.
