Examines the role of U.S. ethnic minority groups in American politics from the perspectives of the groups themselves. Topics include historical and contemporary perspectives on the political activities, interests, and legal status of U.S. ethnic minorities; the relationship of power, race/ethnicity, and class in determining the effects of the political system on these groups; and the impact of these groups on the political system.
