HSCI 471 - Critical Care Transport II3 Credits
Introduces issues related to providing transport for critical care patients of all ages. Introduction of clinical conditions which are common to ICU/CCU patients, and advanced assessment techniques for patients with cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurologic, and GI/GU/renal conditions. Clinical relevance of various laboratory tests and purpose and operation of various critical care instruments.Prerequisites: Registered nurse or certification as a paramedic
