3Credits (Minimum)3Credits (Maximum) The use of financial resources is at the heart of governing; policy decisions are meaningful only when resources are provided to implement them. This course examines American public sector finance in relation to other nations; the national government and fiscal well-being; types of budgeting systems and their uses; creation of the national budget; structure of the local government budget; and selected topics such as debt and cash management, accounting for resource use, and forecasting financial condition.
