SOC 421 - Social Services and Welfare Reform3 Credits
Provides a sociological examination of the transformation of social welfare within both the United States and other industrialized nations. Emphasis is placed on the structural forces producing welfare reform, the strategies employed to achieve it, and the differential impact of this reform by race and gender.Prerequisites: SOC 111 and another 3- hour SOC course Meets with SOC 521.
