ECE 4160 - Power and Energy4 Credits
Topics include: magnetic circuits and materials, transformers, electromechanical energy conversion principles, introduction to rotating machines, synchronous machines, polyphase induction machines, DC machines, stepper motors, single and two-phase motors. Laboratory experiments on transformers, synchronous motors, induction motors, stepper motors and motor control circuits.Prerequisites: ECE 3110 and ECE 2205, or equivalent.
