Conveys insight into, and knowledge of, the principles and practice underlying the distributed systems, both Internet-based and otherwise. Describes major developments in interprocess communication, remote invocation, distributed file systems, replication and load balancing, distributed shared memory, and distributed multimedia systems.Prerequisites: C S 450/550.
