TCID 3750 - Grant and Proposal Writing3 Credits (Minimum) 3 Credits (Maximum)
This course introduces students to grant writing for nonprofits, including planning, developing, and submitting grant proposals. Students collaborate with local nonprofits to identify needs to be filled; to research funding agencies; and to develop actual grant applications that nonprofits will submit to positively impact underserved communities. Additionally, students learn from guest speakers about how nonprofits operate, whom they serve, and the career opportunities available in the nonprofit sector.
