An overview of the nature, extent, and causes of adolescent criminal, antisocial, and health risk behaviors, with primary focus on delinquency, violence, substance use (alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs), running away, academic achievement, and sexual behavior. Examines the role of family structure and family dynamics, adolescent development, peers, school, and community on the risk of a variety of antisocial behaviors and negative adolescent outcomes.
