SOC 3280 - Asian American Communities

3 Credits (Minimum) 3 Credits (Maximum)
A general introduction to Asian American Studies. Surveys Asian American social organizations and political history from the 1800s to the present through the lens of immigration, family, labor, community, activism, and resistance. Approved for Compass Curriculum requirement: Inclusiveness (Global/Diversity). Prer., SOC 1110 or SOC 2200 or WEST 2010. Meets with WEST 3280.
