    Analysis of administration at junior and senior high schools, colleges, and universities. Examine the independent coordinates involved in management for athletic/sports administration, such as internal and external affairs, compliance and governance, student-athlete support service, human resource issues, and working with coaches.     Takes a general manager’s perspective on the administration of the corporation.     An in-depth examination of the System Engineering process through exposure to the structured approach necessary for the design of complex systems. The formulation of systems problems and the solution approach will be emphasized. Includes a model-based approach to key systems engineering design activities, process modeling, requirements analysis and functional allocation, trade-off analysis, and management of cost, schedule, and risk.   • SYSE 5150 - System Analysis

    Provides an introduction to rigorous quantitative modeling techniques. Focus is on development of appropriate mathematical models, computer implementation of the models, and application of the models to decision-making scenarios.   • SYSE 5350 - Engineering Modeling and Simulation

    Designed with the builder of mathematical models, analytical model users, and those engineers who use computer simulations in the exercise of their disciplines, in mind. The first part of the course covers the fundamentals of mathematical modeling in the context of dynamic, optimizing, and stochastic models.   • TED 3730 - Assessment: Methods, Materials, and Theories for ELL’s

    Prepares teachers to assess and evaluate ESL students in a field-based setting. Includes particular assessment instruments, mediation strategies and materials, and formal and informal diagnostic strategies.   • TED 3740 - Practicum in ESL/Multicultural Education

    A field-based, standards-based course that provides at least 150 hours of site-based work in addition to in-school work.   • TED 3750 - Second Language Acquisition: Capstone

    Presents a broad survey of second language acquisition research. Stresses theoretical concerns and research findings and practical applications to teaching second languages.   • TED 3770 - Pro-Seminar: Parent and Community Involvement

    Focuses on models and strategies for improving parent and community involvement in the schools. Discusses administrative concerns, such as parent advisory councils, instructional concerns, such as helping children with school assignments, and family literacy issues and programs.   • TED 4680 - Expressive Arts Methods

    Introduces prospective teachers to methods for teaching the expressive arts within the regular classroom. Students will learn how to meaningfully integrate the expressive arts into all subject areas.   • THTR 2000 - Introduction to Technical Theatre

    A hands-on introduction to scene construction and decoration, stage lighting and effects, basic safety, costume shop procedures, sound technology, and all the fundamentals of technical theatre. Students will attend one lecture and one lab per week. Labs may include field trips.
