Students seeking a pre-law minor as a preparation for law school or for general interest must complete a minimum of 18 credit hours, 12 of which must be upperdivision courses, and all of which must be completed in at least two of the ten departments that participate in the program (Communication, Criminal Justice, Economics, English, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Women and Ethnic Studies). Special Topic courses offered in the departments that are not listed here and that might qualify require the consent of the Director, Jennifer Kling (Philosophy). LSAT preparation courses are routinely offered through the college’s Extended Studies program.
The Center for Legal Studies at UCCS is a resource for students in the Pre-Law Program. For further inquiries, please contact its Director, Jennifer Kling jkling@uccs.edu.
