I D 372 - Russian Avant-Garde Cinema: A Historical View, 1915-Present

A study of the history of nearly 100 years of Russian and Soviet cinema through works of great directors: Eisenstein, Tarkovsky, Paradjanov, Shepit’ko, and others; from 1910’s through 1990’s. Every 4-hour session includes a complete feature film, some rare and never released on video. A valuable elective for all Arts and Sciences majors.
