This course places the history of special education in context of current principles and practices. Presents contributions of advocacy groups relative to legislative accomplishments, and addresses important issues, federal laws, and resources for beginning teachers in determining their legal responsibilities.Prerequisites: Bachelor’s degree or instructor’s approval
