CURR 5053 - Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling: The Mighty Word: Building Vocabulary and Oral Language2 Credits
Participants will receive training using the Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling curriculum developed by Houghton Mifflin. LETRS is a comprehensive curriculum designed to enrich and extend program-specific professional development in the area of reading instruction. This course focuses on word meanings and how they are learned from direct definition and exposure to contextual use as well as other key ideas.
