COUN 513 - Introduction to Marriage and Family Counseling3 Credits
Introduction to marriage and family therapy with a focus on the transition from individual and group theories to systems theories. Students will learn to think in systems terms and gain an appreciation for the multiple levels of systemic functioning. A treatment of the nuclear family and alternate family forms will be included in this course.Prerequisites: COUN 501 and COUN 510 or consent of instructor
