BUAD 559 - Macroeconomics for Managers

Development of economic skills and knowledge of the modern capitalist economic system. Emphasis on tools of economic analysis, the functioning of the macro-economy, the growing influence of the international sector on the macro-economy, and the role of technology in forming a ‘new’ economy. Students learn to analyze simple market events, understand and interpret key macroeconomic variables, analyze the effect of both domestic and international events on the domestic economy, understand the government’s and the Fed’s role in the economy, and understand how technological change may be driving the formation of a ‘new’ economy.
